Latitude Ministries (formerly known as Christ in Action) has seen a lack of leadership, discipleship, balanced evangelism, vision, purpose, direction, order, and organization in the local churches that has caused pastors and youth pastors to feel frustratedd, undecided, burned out, and often unsure of their call. This has caused many Christian leaders to ask, "Am I doing something wrong?" and, "Is it even worth it anymore?"
This ministry understands those very issued and we desire to serve in a way that leaders would be encouraged, refreshed, and restored to the awesome call that the Lord has on their lives. Remember, everyone needs encouragement, especially Christian leaders.
We are all called to minister to one another and strengthen each other. Latitude Ministries desire is to minister to the local churches and communities to bring repentance, refreshing, and restoration. By reaching out, their goal is to raise up and encourage leaders who would then raise up leaders to bring forth the gospel.
Their focus is discipleship and leadership based on servanthood. They also desire to exhort leaders in how to delegate the work of the ministry so that pastors can have time to Pray, Preach & Protect their flock.
Latitude desires to:
The scripture they stand on is Acts 3:19-21: Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord, and that He may send the Christ, who has been appointed for you - even Jesus. He must remain in heaven until the time comes for God to restore everything, as He promised long ago through His holy prophets.
Our ministry is about Colossians 3:14-17: And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitiude in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.
